Según un estudio realizado por investigadores de la Universidad de Murdoch, la Dra. Essie Rodgers y el Dr. Daniel Gómez Isaza, el ejercicio puede ayudar a los peces de cualquier especie a ganar peso a un ritmo acelerado, y por lo tanto, alcanzar tamaños comercializables más rápido. Esto permite que la producción sea más eficiente.
Nuestro sistema productivo lleva a los peces a realizar el ejercicio suficiente para generar este efecto. Inyectamos grandes cantidades de aire de forma orientada en diferentes puntos del estanque para de esta manera mover el agua, desgasificar, oxigenar, retirar las excretas, el alimento no consumido, la mortalidad y finalmente generar las corrientes que llevan a los peces a ejercitarse.
Este nado contra corriente, además de desarrollar la musculatura, genera confort en los animales. Estos sistemas nos permiten controlar la calidad del agua y tener animales con bienestar, bajo contenido de grasa y por tanto excelente textura y espesor de los filetes.

Our production system keeps the fish moving enough to produce this effect. We inject large amounts of air at strategic points in the tank to move the water, remove carbon dioxide, feces, uneaten food, and mortality, and finally create currents that will lead the fish to exercise.
Swimming against the current not only builds muscles, but also creates comfort for the animals. These systems allow us to control the quality of the water and have animals with good welfare, low fat content and therefore excellent texture and thickness of the fillets.

Andina Trout is currently the most technologically advanced trout farm in Colombia. It is located in the municipality of Abriaquí, in the western mountain range of the Colombian Andes. We have adapted the technology patented by RASchile (www.raschile.cl) to the farming conditions that exist in our country, and since 2021 we have proven models of it, obtaining amazing results.
